What was I doing?! Why was I doing things I hated? Is this what I wanted my kids to learn?

It all snuck up on me - all those moments as they grew ever so slowly right before my eyes; their' voices, style, interests, moods, etc.

While reflecting back over this year, as I do before each new one, this one required a few deep breaths and a stiff drink.
